Step into a courtyard on the island’s exclusive east end where Casa del Mar welcomes you with sophisticated style distilled from St. Croix’s five hundred years under seven flags. Colorful, international fabrics and works by local artists accent rich mahogany and rattan furnishings recalling the island’s colonial days.

This lovely coastal home is directly across the channel from uninhabited Buck Island, declared a national monument by President John F. Kennedy in 1961. Privateers once anchored alongside the reefs but today it’s a favorite destination for sailing yachts that breeze by as you sip morning coffee or sunset drinks on your deck.

Plan a morning in the 18th century Danish colonial town of Christiansted to immerse yourself in St. Croix’s past at the National Historic Site, then shop for locally-crafted fine jewelry and other treasures from around the globe. But most days, you won’t want to leave home—and why should you? Your back yard is the sea, and the blue-green Caribbean waters are dazzling. You’ll be tempted to spend hours swimming and snorkeling right off your own private deck.

Leisurely hours will stretch ahead for soaking up the sun at your tile-trimmed pool surrounded by palms and exotic blossoms, or for dozing with a bestseller at one of the white sandy beaches a few moments away. No matter how you spend your days, you’ll breathe tangy salt air, unwind, and feel tensions of a too-busy life drain away.

And at each evening’s end, be gently lulled to sleep by the sound of waves lapping the shore just outside your window. Tomorrow will bring another unforgettable day at beautiful Casa del Mar.

All homes are furnished including linens, towels, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Mid-stay maid service is provided one time per week for most bookings. A $500.00 damage deposit is required. Rates do not include an 8% Hotel Tax. 50% of the rental is required to confirm a reservation with the full balance due 45 days prior to arrival. We accept Visa and Mastercard. To avoid potential problems, we ask that you allow us to make your car reservation. We also suggest you purchase travel insurance.
